This French single malt whisky was first aged in oak casks that previously
contained cognac, then refined in new chestnut casks and used chestnut casks
that previously contained cognac. This special aging process gives it an aromatic
richness reminiscent of nuts and spices.
The BGW Chestnut Whisky evokes on
the nose : autumn mornings, the return
from hunting, nut shells and the scent of
fresh chestnuts, notes of leather and old
furniture.
A light and polished palate, with great
freshness and the deliciousness of grilled
fruits (chestnuts, nuts, cashew nuts).
Subtle and complex palate.
A fresh finish of yellow fruits such as
medlar or kumquat, supported by notes
of cloves and cumin. Long, fresh and
delicious.
