AGED 24 YEARS
1988 happened to be a leap year starting on a Friday. The month of August that year had been extremely painful for the cognac vineyards, as well as for modern art enthusiasts and car addicts. Because both Jean-Michel Basquiat and Enzo Ferrari died that month and because it only rained 7.8 mm in the Cognac region.
Tough but promising conditions for a vintage quality, as the vines dug deep into the soil to find nutrients and minerals to get through this dry period. Our Cellar-Master has preciously kept it in demi-johns since 2013.
